Project's details
| Design of a Fish Hatchery Data Management System | |
| Delta smelt is a federal and state listed endangered fish species in California Bay-Delta area. Their population number is very low so a captive population has been developed and maintained at the UC Davis Fish Conservation and Culture Lab (FCCL). The FCCL is functioning as a conservation hatchery since 1996 for research proposes and providing fish to researchers. Currently all daily log. water quality data. fish measurement data. and survival data are all paper-based. which is hard to organize and use. This project is aiming to have a data management system developed for hatchery staff to use on a daily basis. | |
| Students working on this project will be expected to develop a user friendly system for put in daily fish mortality. system water quality parameters. and growth data. The system should be easy to work with. maintain. and modify even for non-CS background staff. | |
